It was a great pleasure to me meeting a wizard of design, a genius of creativity, and having the chance to share opinions and ideas with him about his work and his natural gift to imagine and to realize an “innovative and modern future”
Newson’s brilliance consists in his capacity to imagine objects as they were created by a fluid that him, like a wizard, can fix in a clear shape. In the very moment when Marc sees in that fluid the shape he had in his mind stops and realizes itself.
Transparent and translucent sufaces, annihilation of edges are the basis of his creativity and these turn into an instrument that is necessary to realize ergonomic works.
Yesterday night at the Moroni’s show room in Milan, with which Marc collaborated in the past drawing various creations, it was presented the new design object that allow to create a HEINEKEN experience directly in our home, as well as Nespresso also did with coffee.
The plus of this project was to create a design object to draw refrigerated beer directly at home, realizing in this way an iconic object based on quality, technology, and avant-garde design.
In the Heineken spirit of continually realizing, during its 140 years of history, the best drinking experience ever, here is an object that certainly will remain in the history of design.
Marc Newson in his long career has designed everything: cars (the 021C concept car for Ford), bicycle (the MN01 bike for Biomega), restaurants, private planes interiors, glass objects, chairs and also collaborated with the most important brands in the world of design: Alessi, Flos, Cappellini Magis, Moroso.
In 2005 Time Magazine included him in the 100 most powerful people of the year chart.
