Once again, MEISSEN COUTURE® will host a spectacular event during Milan Fashion Week. The MEISSEN COUTURE® Fall/Winter 2014/15 Collection will be presented in a magnificent installation. The famous VILLA MEISSEN COUTURE® in Via MonteNapoleone 3 will be transformed into a scintillating backdrop for the evening.
Head designer Frida Weyer turned to the shimmering exuberance of the 1920s to late 1930s, a period when people celebrated life above all else, for inspiration. The duality of timeless elegance and a casual, sensual appeal was the main challenge for the designer. The lines are particularly feminine and flowing. The looks focus on the shoulders as a metaphor for the strength of a woman who leads and seduces.
Lingerie elements featuring delicate lace are reminiscent of sinful boudoirs, while a high leg slit or a deep plunge back harks back to the heyday of Hollywood divas. Early Indian ornamentation, reminiscent of Asian lacquer paintings from the 300-year-old archive of the MEISSEN Manufactory inspired the embroidery in metallic or blush tones on silk chiffon, organza and crêpe. Feathers and fringes make the designs even more dynamic. Every breath and even the tiniest of movements suggest a pulsating passion.
The colour palette is minimalist, emphasizing fine champagne shades, tender blush tones, deep blackberry and seductive black.
